SUGAR
Sugar is an amazingly sweet pit that was rescued from the shelter over a year ago. Her angel of a foster mom pulled her out of the shelter in terrible condition. She was clearly abused and malnourished. She had acid burns on her body, and there was sadly evidence that this sweet girl had been subjected to back alley c-sections! (People suck.) A few veterinary visits later, lots of love, and time to heal has completely transformed this girl!
Sugar is currently in foster care living with a few other dogs and cats and is doing well with crate training. She seems to tolerate calm dogs the best and is interested in the cats but has not made any attempts to actually chase them. Her ideal owner would have experience with 'bully' breeds and have patience as she continues to develop her social skills since she only recently began getting acquainted with other dogs and cats.
She is an exceptionally smart dog and learns very fast. She enjoys her walks, but would much rather be inside on the couch with you. She's definitely a heap of couch-potato love and is happiest around people. As such, she will ideally go to a home in which someone is around for a good portion of the day. She has an awesome personality and is mostly a big 'goof' that will surely make you laugh (when she's not trying to squirm her way into your lap!).

Since Sugar had such a rough start, we only want to see her go into a home that has tons of love to give. She is a special dog. We will only put her in a home that is just as special.
